As many of you know, Julie and I have been living on Nerdy Bird Farm in Peyton, Colorado. This place has been our home, our sanctuary, and our project. But as seasons change, so do our lives. We are in the midst of packing up and preparing to sell our cherished farm. Our goal is not just to sell the property but to find a new, more affordable home in a warmer climate where we can start afresh.
Our Goal: A Fresh Start with Financial Freedom
We hope that the sale of Nerdy Bird Farm will allow us to purchase our next home outright, giving us the financial freedom to focus on the things that truly matter. Cost, climate, and community are our top priorities as we embark on this journey.
Selling the Farm
We want to sell Nerdy Bird Farm as a complete package that includes the home, land, website, and branding. This farm is more than just a piece of property; it's a lifestyle, a brand, and a community. We believe that by packaging it all together, we can find the right buyer who will appreciate and continue what we've built.
Preparing for the Move
Moving is a significant life event, and we’re trying to navigate it with as much grace and organization as possible. Here are a few steps we’re taking to ensure a smooth transition:
Market Analysis: We’re working with our realtor to set a realistic price for Nerdy Bird Farm that maximizes our return.
Highlighting Unique Selling Points: Making sure potential buyers know about the home, land, website, and branding.
Researching Affordable Locations: Identifying areas that are warmer and more affordable.
Budgeting Wisely: Ensuring our next home purchase aligns with the expected proceeds from our current sale.
Negotiating Carefully: Working diligently to get the best possible deal on our new place.
Staying Flexible: Keeping our options open to find a new home that meets our needs without compromising on essential features.
Our Hopes for the Future
We’re hopeful that this move will bring us closer to our dreams. Financial freedom is a significant part of that, but so is finding a community where we feel at home. We’re excited about the possibilities and eager to see where this next chapter takes us.
Thank you all for your support during this transition. Your encouragement means the world to us. If you have any advice, recommendations, or just want to chat, please reach out. We’d love to hear from you.
Until next time,
Alan & Julie
